DECISION
ON ADDING SOME CONTENTS TO THE PLANNING ON DEVELOPMENT AND RENOVATION OF HO CHI MINH CITY’S POWER NETWORK IN THE 2002-2010 PERIOD, WITH THE PROSPECTS TOWARD 2020 TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION
Pursuant to the December 25, 2001 Law on Organization of the Government;
At the proposal of the Ministry of Industry (Official Letter No. 2709/CV-NLDK of May 26, 2005, on supplementing the Planning on development and renovation of Ho Chi Minh city’s power network in the 2002-2010 period, with the prospects toward 2020 taken into consideration,
DECIDES:
Article 1.- To add some contents to the Planning on development and renovation of Ho Chi Minh city’s power network in the 2002-2010 period, with the prospects toward 2020 taken into consideration, as follows:
1. Adding the following projects:
- The project on laying the Tan Dinh – Cu Chi 220 kV-transmission line and building the Cu Chi transformer station with 2 transformers x 250 MVA; for the immediate future, one transformer shall be installed and operate by 2008.
- The project on laying a 1 km-long 110 kV-transmission line running from the existing Trang Bang 110 kV-transformer station to the Trang Bang 220 kV-transformer station.

- The project on laying the 2.5 km-long Thu Duc- Tang Nhon Phu 2 x 110 kV underground cable to be commissioned by 2006-2007.
- The project on building the Tan Phu Trung, Bau Dung and Hoc Mon 3 110 kV-transformer stations, each with 2 transformers x 63 MVA, the building schedule shall depend on the load demand of industrial parks.
- The project on building the Binh Tri Dong 110 kV-transformer station with 2 transformers x 63 MVA, of which transformer No. 1 will be commissioned by 2006 and transformer No. 2, by 2010.
- The project on laying a 110 kV, double-circuit underground cable connecting to the Pouyuen 110 kV-transformer station with 2 transformers x 37.5 MVA.
- The project on renovating the Hoc Mon – Phu Hoa Dong 110 kV-transmission line with 4 circuits, up from 1 circuit (two 220 kV circuits and two 110 kV circuits), to be commissioned by 2008-2010.
- The project on renovating the 17.5 km-long Trang Bang – Cu Chi 110 kV- transmission line with 2 circuits, up from 1 circuit, to be commissioned by 2006.
- The project on building a 110 kV line running to Cu Chi for the Trang Bang 220 kV-transformer station.
2. The specific capital levels and execution schedules for the above-stated projects shall be decided by the Electricity of Vietnam when it approves the construction investment projects.

2. The People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh city shall coordinate with and direct the Electricity of Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City Electricity Company to carry out the work of compensation and ground clearance.
3. The Electricity of Vietnam shall direct the elaboration of reports on investment in the construction of works for each project, approve them and direct the execution of the projects according to current regulations.
Article 3.- This Decision takes effect after its signing. Other contents shall comply with the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 699/2002/QD-TTg of August 23, 2002.
Article 4.- The Minister of Industry, the President of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh city, the ministers, the heads of concerned branches, and the Managing Board and the General Director of the Electricity of Vietnam shall have to implement this Decision.
