ORDINANCE
AMENDING ARTICLE 10 OF THE POPULATION ORDINANCE
Pursuant to the 1992 Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, which as amended and supplemented under Resolution No. 51/2001/ QH10;
Pursuant to Resolution No. 27/2008/QH12 on the 2009 law- and ordinance-making program and supplementing the law- and ordinance-making program of the Xll'1' National Assembly (2007-2011 legislature); promulgates the Ordinance Amending Article 10 of Population Ordinance No. 06/2003/PL-UBTVQH11.
Article 1. To amend Article 10 of the 2003 Population Ordinance as follows:
"Article 10. Rights and obligations of each couple or individual in carrying out the movement for population and family planning and reproductive healthcare:
To decide on the time to have babies and the interval between child births:
To have one child or two children, except particular cases stipulated by the Government;
To protect their health, apply measures to prevent reproductively infectious diseases, sexually transmitted diseases and HIV/AIDS and fulfill other obligations related to reproductive health."

This Ordinance takes effect on February 1. 2009.
