DECISION
ON PETROLEUM BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
THE PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government of September 30, 1992;
At the proposals of the Head of the Government Pricing Commission in Reports No. 813/TTr-BVGCP of September 14, 2000 and No. 826/TTr-BVGCP of September 19, 2000; the comments made by the concerned ministries and branches at the September 18, 2000 conference on petroleum business,
DECIDES:
Article 1.- As from September 21, 2000, to adjust the limited maximum retail prices for various types of petroleum as follows:
Common car gasoline: 5,100 dong/liter
Diesel oil of 1%S: 4,000 dong/liter

The Government Pricing Commission shall coordinate with the Ministry of Trade in guiding and organizing the implementation of the adjustment of the above-mentioned prices.
Article 2.- The Ministry of Finance shall, according to its competence, have to immediately issue the decision to adjust the car gasoline import tax rate to 0%.
Article 3.- The Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Finance and the Vietnam State Bank shall continue to carry out the tasks assigned in Article 2 of the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 81/2000/QD-TTg of July 7, 2000 on Petroleum Business Management.
Article 4.- This Decision takes effect as from September 21, 2000.
The ministers, the heads of the ministerial-level agencies, the heads of agencies attached to the Government, the presidents of the People’s Committees of the provinces and centrally-run cities shall have to implement this Decision.
