DECISION
ON THE ABOLISHMENT OF DECISION NO. 0971/2004/QD-BTM DATED JULY 14, 2004 OF THE MINISTER OF TRADE; TEMPORARY CESSATION OF THE TEMPORARY IMPORT FOR RE-EXPORT AND BORDER-GATE TRANSSHIPMENT OF FINISHED WOODEN PRODUCTS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE IMPORT OF SEMI-FINISHED WOODEN PRODUCTS FOR PROCESSING AND PRODUCING OF GOODS FOR EXPORT
THE MINISTER OF TRADE
Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 29/2004/ND-CP dated January 16, 2004 prescribing the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Trade;
Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 57/1998/ND-CP dated July 31, 1998 detailing the implementation of the Commercial Law regarding goods import, export, processing and sale and purchase agency with foreign countries;
In order to counter the illegal transshipment and protect the prestige of Vietnam’s export goods in the world market;
At the proposal of the director of the Import-Export Department,
DECIDES:
Article 1. To annul Decision No. 0971/2004/QD-BTM dated July 14, 2004 of the Minister of Trade on issuing the Provisional List of goods temporarily imported for re-export, border-gate transshipped and imported for processing under the Ministry of Trade’s permits.
Article 2. To temporarily cease the temporary import for re-export and border-gate transshipment of finished wooden products through Vietnam to the U.S.
Article 3. To temporarily stipulate the conditions for the import of semi-finished wooden products for processing and producing of goods for export to the U.S. according to the following principles:

Article 4. The Decision takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Article 5. The director of the Import-Export Department, the directors and heads of concerned units under the Ministry of Trade, the relevant organizations and individuals shall have to implement this Decision.
