LIST OF GROUP-2 PRODUCTS AND GOODS UNDER THE MANAGEMENT OF THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

Pursuant to the Law on technical regulations and standards dated June 29, 2006;

Pursuant to the Law on quality of goods and products dated November 21, 2007;

Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 127/2007/ND-CP dated August 01, 2007 detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on technical regulations and standards;

Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 132/2008/ND-CP dated December 31, 2008 on detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on products and goods quality;

Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 95/2017/ND-CP dated August 16, 2017 defining functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Science and Technology;

At the request of the General Director of the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality and the Chief of Department of Legislation;

HEREBY DECIDES:

Article 1. The list of group-2 products and goods under the management of the Ministry of Science and Technology is provided in the Appendix enclosed herewith, in which names, HS codes, applicable national technical regulations and legislative documents are also specified.

The import of group-2 products and goods must comply with the Circular No. 27/2012/TT-BKHCN dated December 12, 2012 and the Circular No. 07/2017/TT-BKHCN dated June 16, 2017 of the Minister of Science and Technology.

Article 2. During the implementation of this Decision, the General Director of the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality is assigned to cooperate with relevant authorities/entities in requesting the Minister of Science and Technology to make suitable amendments to the List of group-2 products and goods under the management of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Article 3. This Decision comes into force as from the date on which it is signed.

1. The Decision No. 1171/QD-BKHCN dated May 27, 2015 of the Minister of Science and Technology announcing the List of imported goods subject to quality inspection under National technical regulation before customs clearance within the management of the Ministry of Science and Technology shall be null and void from the effective date of this Decision.

2. If legislative documents, technical regulations and/or standards referred to in this Decision are amended, supplemented or superseded in the course of implementation of this Decision, the new ones shall apply.

3. Difficulties that arise during the implementation of this Decision should be reported to the Ministry of Science and Technology (via the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality) for consideration.
