NO.2321/LDTBXH-TL DATED AUGUST 06, 2001 OF THE MINISTRY OF LABOR, WAR INVALIDS AND SOCIAL AFFAIRS ON SALARIES OF VIETNAMESE EMPLOYEES WORKING IN FDI ENTERPRISES

Under the guidance of the Prime Minister in the Official Dispatch N.5531/VPCP-VX dated December 02, 1999 on salaries of Vietnamese employees working in some FDI enterprises (in the attached list), the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs hereby provides the following guidelines:

Pursuant to regulations specified in Decision No.708/1999/QD-BLDTBXH dated June 15, 1999 of the Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs on minimum salaries and other salaries in Vietnam dong also apply to Vietnamese employees working in FDI enterprises in Vietnam. For the case in which an FDI enterprise or foreign organization applies regulations on minimum salaries and other salaries in USD but pays Vietnamese workers in Vietnam dong, the average exchange rate on the interbank foreign exchange market quoted by the State Bank of Vietnam at the time such salaries are paid shall be applied.
